Complimenting her commitment to holistic health, Heather is trained in cosmetic acupuncture, the only cosmetic procedure that actually enhances your natural appearance and improves your overall health and well-being. Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the Mei Zen System® (meaning “beautiful skin”) increases energy and blood flow to the face causing a lifting effect using the body’s own collagen and elastin to diminish the signs of aging.
In her practice, Heather utilizes AcuGraph® Digital Meridian Imaging™; a software program that analyzes the energetic state of your body’s meridians. This screening provides you with a detailed report of your energetic imbalances. She uses this technology along with traditional diagnostic techniques to create and monitor the progress of her treatment plans. “I bring the skills and experience of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine to provide consistently effective treatments as well as my ability to educate and break down the complexities of this medicine to make it understandable and useful for my clients. I have found that I have an intuitive ability to adapt my approach by listening to my clients and gauge what their needs are that cannot be expressed with words”
Before entering the field of acupuncture and Chinese medicine, Heather spent 12 years in the natural foods industry assisting customers with vitamins and supplements as well as educating them on general nutrition and natural food choices. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with a minor in Exercise Science at Mesa State College and was a fitness instructor for six years with Crossroads Health and Fitness in Grand Junction, CO.
